ATON Signs MOU for Security Solution with Korea Information Certificate Authority

June 25, 2019 – Fintech security company ATON (formerly AT Solutions) announced on the 25th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Information Certificate Authority (KICA) to cooperate in the security/certificate solution sector.

ATON and KICA hope to improve the features of the ATON mSafeBox, ATON’s renowned fintech security solution and to improve sales through this agreement. Both companies are pushing the agreement to expand customer applications, sign supply contracts and improve the features and technology of ATON mSafeBox.

ATON and KICA are currently providing the service and cooperating to apply it to the 3 telecoms’ PASS platform certification solution and they plan to improve their own relationship through this business agreement and use their own technologies and networks to work together to improve the sale of both the ATON mSafeBox and other security solutions owned by the two companies.

KICA announced that with this MOU, it will use white-box cryptography technology owned by ATON to improve the security level of its solutions while expanding mobile phone coverage of previous solutions and actively working to supply the overseas markets. It is in talks with overseas customers regarding the specifics of contracts to supply security solutions using ATON’s mSafeBox technology with its own PKI Security Solution.

ATON declared that this agreement with KICA is extremely significant as its fintech security solutions have been selected by the national certification authority. It plans to expand its work from the fintech security solution market it has thus far mainly operated in to provide security solutions for public organizations and general business customers. ATON had earlier signed a similar agreement with Korea Electronic Certification Authority on the 18th.

ATON CEO Kim Jong-seo was quoted as saying, “KICA is Korea’s first certificate authority and has a wealth of experience in the security solution sector including authentication,” and added, “We will do our best to showcase ATON’s fintech security solutions to even more customers through this agreement.”
